3 quart slow cooker

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup sauerkraut
  • 1 large russet potato, peeled and cut into thirds
  • ¾ teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt , each
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2-3 uncooked German pork sausages, any German sausage works such as: kielbasa, knackwurst or bratwurst
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Layer sauerkraut and potatoes on bottom of slow cooker.
    1 cup sauerkraut
    1 large russet potato
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper and caraway seeds. Top with sausage and add water.
    3/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
    1 teaspoon brown sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    2-3 uncooked German pork sausages
    1/4 cup water
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve hot with yellow mustard.
