3 quart slow cooker
Ingredients
- 1 cup sauerkraut
- 1 large russet potato, peeled and cut into thirds
- ¾ teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt , each
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2-3 uncooked German pork sausages, any German sausage works such as: kielbasa, knackwurst or bratwurst
- ¼ cup water
Instructions
- Layer sauerkraut and potatoes on bottom of slow cooker.1 cup sauerkraut1 large russet potato
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper and caraway seeds. Top with sausage and add water.3/4 teaspoon caraway seeds1 teaspoon brown sugar1/4 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon pepper2-3 uncooked German pork sausages1/4 cup water
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve hot with yellow mustard.
