Ingredients
- 2 pieces bacon, thin cut
- ¼ inch slice of a large red onion , then sliced into strips
- ¼ cup raw pecans, finely chopped and toasted
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- ¼ cup blue cheese, crumbled
Instructions
- Set oven to bake at 325 degrees.
- Place bacon in a small frying pan over low heat. Add onion and cook together until bacon is evenly brown and crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to soak up grease.2 pieces bacon1/4 inch slice of a large red onion
- In a small saute pan, toast pecans over medium heat and stir for 3-4 minutes. Nuts will become fragrant. Remove from pan to cool.1/4 cup raw pecans
- Add cream cheese and blue cheese to a small baking ramekin.3 ounces cream cheese1/4 cup blue cheese
- Mix crumbled bacon into the cheeses. Add caramelized onion to top and bake for 10 minutes at 325 degrees.
- Remove from oven and top with pecans. Serve warm with bread or crackers.
