Ingredients
 

  • 10 ounces pre-shredded cabbage with carrot, roughly a bit more than half of a 1 pound bag.
  • ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium crisp tart apple, such as granny smith variety, julienned
Sauce for Slaw
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 small lime, juiced
  • ½ tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

Instructions
 

  • Prepare sauce first by combining all Sauce for Slaw ingredients in a medium bowl and mixing well.
    3/4 cup mayonnaise
    1 tablespoon dijon mustard
    1 small lime
    1/2 tablespoon fresh ginger
    1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
    1 tablespoon sugar or honey
    1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
    1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • Add cabbage, onion and apple to the sauce bowl and turn over with spoon or spatula several times to coat cabbage mix well.
    10 ounces pre-shredded cabbage with carrot
    1/2 small red onion
    1 medium crisp tart apple
  • Allow to marinate in refrigerator for at least a couple of hours before serving.
